About me

I’ve been a hand knitter since childhood, but was only introduced to machine knitting as an adult on a textile foundation course.

I took to it immediately and love the way it allows me to experiment with pattern and colour. I’ve developed a process for felting the knitting which produces a material which keeps the softness of wool, but which can be cut and used as conventional fabric.

About my products

All my knitted products are made from 100% lambswool. I knit the fabric on a manual knitting machine, using 2 ply wool which has been spun and dyed at a mill in Yorkshire. I wash it several times with rainwater and organic soap, stretching it between cycles, to gently shrink and form it into a very soft, but robust material which can be pressed and trimmed.

Items can be washed by hand or in the machine on a wool cycle. Full care instructions are supplied with all purchases.

Bespoke service

My products are individually made so I’m happy to make an item to your specific order. Like a scarf design but want it in a different colour? Or just different ends perhaps? Want the cushion to match your sofa? Please complete an order form and I’ll make it as you like.

I also produce individual pieces to commission.

Please contact me if you’d like to discuss an idea.
